The Bright Side: How NEILS Makes Aging Easier

We grow one day older with every passing day, but aging doesn’t have to be gloomy.

According to an AARP survey, 77% of adults over the age of 50 preferred to stay at home long term rather than move to a nursing home or assisted living facility. NorthEast Independent Living Services (NEILS) provides in-home care services to help seniors age with grace and support in their own homes.

Discover the benefits of aging at home and how NEILS can make aging in place a reality.

Independence is Essential

When we are able to age in our homes, we are granted a daily sense of familiarity. As we age, daily tasks can become challenging. NEILS offers in-home care services like personal care, meal preparation, shopping & errands, housekeeping, transportation, and laundry services to help older adults stay independent and empowered.

Community Connections

Contact with neighbors or a pet offers social connections and can decrease feelings of loneliness and depression. NEILS provides connections to your community with nurse visits to help with medication, respite care, and transportation to doctor visits. Our engaged caregivers provide compassionate care and connections to stay socially engaged in the community.

Reduce Expenses

In-home care services can be half the cost of a semi-private room in a nursing home or a private room in an assisted living community. Most adults 65 and older have their homes paid off, allowing them to stay in their homes with no additional payments. NEILS is contracted with Veterans Home Care to provide home care services through VA Benefits. Medicaid or Medicare pay can help cover your costs for home health care services through NEILS.
